Every time you sit down to eat, the opportunity is their. The opportunity to choose compassion, and sit down with a compassionate meal. All it takes is removal of meat, dairy and eggs. Less killing never hurt anyone!

I am Someone.. And I want to live..

Rhoda is SOMEONE and she wants to LIVE just as much as a dog or cat. Chicken, or pig, dog or cat, they ALL want to live!

At Happy Hen Chicken Rescue we have 64 chickens. 34 rescued from battery cages. This is a battery egg farm:

We have 8 hens rescued from a free range farm. Free range farms, aren't really free range. Eggs with that label mean nothing. This is a free-range farm:

We have 3 hens who were found on the road side. We have 2 roosters who were abandoned at someone's house. And one rooster rescued from cock fighting.

The rest of our chickens are because we have had  2 sneaky hens hide and hatch chicks.. We usually take the eggs, so they won't hatch, as then we can rescue. But when they hide, and you can't find them..

We are rescuing some hens a week from today, from battery cages. And, 2 hens in 2 weeks. And 8 hens in the end of September. So, please donate to help with this rescue filled month: http://www.chickenrescue.org/
